Since last Wednesday, our main priority as a group has been to try and organise the content to film during next Monday and Tuesday. I have sent out more emails to local organisations as well as researched artists within the Liverpool area discussing the project and trying to gain any interest. So far, I have heard back from an organisation called Urban Canvas, who have provisionally agreed to an interview on Tuesday at 2p.m. However, currently we are having an issue with trying to find a suitable location to film this in, as they do not have a space available to us at the moment. The organisation recommended a few galleries and studio spaces in the city centre that we could try and get in touch with to see if they had a space available to us for next week. All of us have been contacting these places, as well as other researched possibilities, but so far have struggled to find anywhere that is within our budget or available for us to access on our filming days. I have since been back in contact with Urban Canvas to update them on the situation, and we have agreed to keep in contact with any more updates regarding the location for the interview to take place.
I have also been contacted by Street Art in Liverpool; a page set up on Facebook to promote and showcase the art on the streets within the city. They have expressed an interest in helping us out, and are currently organising the 1st Liverpool Street art festival in summer, aiming to fight for better responses to Street art in the city. I have arranged to contact them by phone this afternoon to discuss the project further, as it seems like our concept fits well with what they are trying to promote.
We have also been passed on contact details for other organisations, as well as local artists within the city area that may be interested in helping us out, who we aim to contact after having a group meeting today to decide exactly where we are going with the project and what other content other than interviews we intend to film. Noah is also going to be working with Alex K. to develop some basic storyboarded ideas, whilst the rest of us discuss the location situation as well as research sights around the city where key pieces of street art are that will be available for us to film. After this meeting today, we hopefully will have a clearer idea of the structure of the film too, and will also have hopefully set up some more arrangements for interviews for Monday and/or Tuesday of next week, as well as our already scheduled interview for Wednesday at 12 with Keiran at Zap Graffiti. Although this interview does not give us too much time on the day, we all feel confident enough now that we can gather sufficient footage of the city/other contributors on the two days before, as well as get enough from this interview, as ZAP graffiti have been recommended to us by almost every other organisation that we have approached.
